About these terms

These terms apply to your use of Local Special Offers (localspecialoffers.co.uk), operated by Hutch Media Group. By using the site or claiming a listing, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.

For residents

Browsing Local Special Offers and signing up for launch notifications is free and will always remain free for residents. You can unsubscribe from notifications at any time by clicking the unsubscribe link in any email we send you.

Offers listed on the platform are provided by businesses and are subject to their own terms. Local Special Offers is not responsible for the accuracy of offers or for any dispute between you and a listed business.

For businesses

Listing requirements

To be listed on Local Special Offers, your business must be physically based in the area covered by the relevant city or town page. Every listing must include at least one active special offer. Listings without a current offer may be suspended until an offer is added.

Approval

Submitting a claim does not guarantee a listing. We review all submissions and reserve the right to decline or remove any listing that does not meet our standards or that we consider unsuitable for the platform.

Your responsibilities

You are responsible for ensuring that:

• All information in your listing is accurate and up to date.
• Any offers you list are genuine, available, and honoured when claimed by a local.
• Your listing complies with all applicable laws, including consumer protection and advertising standards.

Subscriptions and billing

Free trial

New business listings start with a one-month free trial. A valid payment card is required to activate your listing. You will not be charged during the trial period.

Trial end notification

We will send you a reminder email before your free trial ends, so you know a charge is coming. We will never take a payment without giving you advance notice.

Pricing

After the free trial, subscriptions are billed at:

• Monthly: £9.99 per month, billed every 30 days.
• Annual: £99.99 per year, billed annually.

All prices include VAT where applicable. Payments are processed by Stripe.

Cancellation

You can cancel your subscription at any time. Your listing will remain active until the end of the current billing period. We do not offer refunds for partial billing periods.

Price changes

We will give you at least 30 days notice of any price changes by email before they take effect.

Intellectual property

The Local Special Offers name, logo, and website content are owned by Hutch Media Group. You may not reproduce or use them without permission. You retain ownership of any content you submit for your listing, but by submitting it you grant us a licence to display it on the platform.

Limitation of liability

Local Special Offers is a platform that connects locals with businesses. We are not a party to any transaction between them and accept no liability for offers not honoured, inaccurate listing information, or any loss arising from use of the platform.

To the extent permitted by law, our total liability to you in connection with the service will not exceed the total subscription fees you paid in the 12 months preceding the claim.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. We will notify business subscribers by email at least 14 days before any material changes take effect. Continued use of the service after that date constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
