Local Special Offers is operated by Hutch Media Group. We run the website at localspecialoffers.co.uk, a platform connecting locals with special offers from businesses in their area.

What data we collect

We collect only what we need to run the service:

• Residents: your email address when you sign up for launch notifications.
• Businesses: your business name, category, contact name, email address, and phone number when you claim a listing.
• Subscribers: payment details processed securely by Stripe. We never see or store your full card number.

How we use your data

• To notify residents when Local Special Offers launches in their area.
• To set up and manage business listings on the platform.
• To process subscription payments and send billing notifications.
• To contact you about your account or listing.

We do not sell your data. We do not share it with third parties except where required to operate the service (for example, Stripe for payment processing and Supabase for data storage).

Legal basis for processing (UK GDPR)

We process your data on the following bases:

• Consent: for launch notification emails. You can withdraw consent at any time.
• Contract: for business listing and subscription data, where processing is necessary to deliver the service.
• Legitimate interests: for communicating about your listing or account.

How long we keep your data

We keep resident email addresses until you unsubscribe or ask us to remove them. We keep business and subscription data for as long as your account is active and for up to 7 years after closure, as required for tax and accounting purposes.

Your rights

Under UK GDPR, you have the right to:

• Request deletion of your data (right to erasure).
• Object to or restrict how we process your data.

• Supabase: database and backend. Data is stored on servers in the EU.
• Vercel: website hosting.
